Since one of Nicaragua’s main export products is coffee—renowned worldwide for its exceptional quality—it was an easy choice for us to always have a Nicaraguan coffee in one of our grinders.
At first, we sourced the available Nicaraguan coffees in Hungary, but we quickly realized that the local supply wasn’t enough for our needs. This led us to search for direct sourcing options, and that’s how we found the producer whose coffee we truly wanted. Initially, we acquired it through a Spanish trader, purchasing 30 bags at once. The coffee is grown in Nicaragua’s northern region, Nueva Segovia, on Isaico Albir’s Agua Sarca farm, and we have bought the entire annual harvest.
This coffee is processed using natural methods with anaerobic fermentation and is made from Catuai and Caturra varieties. It is roasted fresh (always light) by Imresso here in Hungary. Its flavor profile brings notes of chocolate, red fruits, and hazelnut, with a medium body and balanced acidity. SCA score: 87.25. This is our “house coffee,” available for purchase in 250g bags.
Want to learn more about where our coffee comes from? Check out our video below from our visit to the farm!
To ensure the best flavor experience, we prepare your coffee using a Victoria Arduino grinder and an Eagle One espresso machine, operated by skilled and passionate baristas.
Besides classic coffee options, we also offer batch brew, cold brew, and filter coffee!
Our second grinder always features a different specialty coffee—but the common thread is always quality!
